This model will assist Chinese clergywomen overcoming resistance by mutual support. Through biblical, historical, social, and theological reflections, the study reaffirms women's leadership and their cross-cultural ministry. Through case studies, the researcher compared four Chinese clergywomen's situations with two other ethnic minority clergywomen's groups. The theological basis of this project is John Wesley, Pui-lan Kwok and other Chinese feminist theologians. A survey was conducted on the acceptance of Chinese clergywomen. I proposed to lead an already existing women's Bible study in a 15-week study to find out. The images used were derived from the book, The Divine Feminine: The Biblical Imagery of God as Female by Virginia Ramey Mollenkott. The biblical part of the study itself was preceded by a three-week discussion on faith journeys and current images of God. The actual Bible study itself took twelve weeks and each session was taped. The class completed an evaluation form immediately following the study, as well as a follow-up questionnaire one year later. There was little permanent adoption of feminine images of God, but an enormous shift in openness to new ideas and willingness to wrestle with theological issues."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799721098709827584,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:16:28.534Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:58:37Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:51:58Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6c9e47a0-0fab-4298-86e6-faf87c67a5c7","accessControl_ssim":["9142ce46-b0f4-436f-a307-255699288bdb"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The Christian education of children as a means of evangelism"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:58:37Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:18:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["92149a77-f10f-44ba-b45a-229cec9ac64e"],"hasLease_ssim":["08284177-a3cf-4273-bb4d-051768636709"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Susan Willhauck"],"year_tesim":["2000"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. A special feature of this design involved participants in an imaginative exercise of narrating their life stories in the voice of God.
