The author explores the austere working environment of military chaplains.  Then he researches the Order and Rule of the Knights Templar, extrapolating the primary spiritual disciplines, to develop a modern day Order for Christian Military Chaplains.  The author tests the effectiveness of the Order through a four-week study. Those organizations plan, resource, and prosecute military operations in support of National defense and security interests. However, the Army, Air Force, or Navy chaplaincies currently do not prepare military chaplains to advise strategic military commanders on the implications of religious affairs. The author was managing editor for Joint Publication 1-05 'Religious affairs in joint operations,' November 2009 and followed Department of Defense standards for developing and publishing Joint doctrine.
