Both the descriptive survey method and the experimental method were employed in the project.  An assimilation scale was developed and used to measure a person's level of assimilation.  An eight-week new members seminar was designed to assist the new members. The seminar addressed eight characteristics of an assimilated church member.  Two hypotheses were established. This was accomplished by the means of an eight-week relational evangelism training program designed to enhance the behavioral skills and the attitudinal assumptions of the participants.  A pretest/posttest instrument was used to generate data.  The historical method, experimental survey method, and the descriptive survey method were used in evaluation.
