The research was intended to show trends and attitudes.  The study began with the premise that Southern Baptist theology and praxis holds a rigid view of divorce when applied to pastors and fails to allow for divorce for any cause other than adultery.  The research consisted of interviews, letters, questionnaires, books, articles, and tapes.  The study was limited to the preaching pastor only.  Respondents as a consensus offered little encouragement to the divorced pastor returning to the pulpit.  There was a strong indication that pastors in the Southern Baptist Convention are taking a more moderate view toward divorced persons in their congregations. In this study, the background of Korean immigration to Austrlia is discussed and the characteristics of Korean immigrants are discovered.  A specific research into the Korean community in the Brisbane metropolitan area is carried out identifying their basic problems and pressing needs.  In order to minister effectively, a theology of immigration is formulated and strategies are developed along the lines of the 'Sa-rang Bang' movement for self-actualization, the 'Chi-geh Koon' model of burden sharing and bilingual/bicultural ministry.
