Through questionnaires and interviews, eleven NCD pastors articulated their convictions. Survey instruments used biblical foundations, historic distinguishing characteristics of the church, and climates and methodologies incorporated by these pastors. Koinonia, the unique sense of community generated within faith communities, was deemed absolutely vital.  Also very important were leitorgia (worship), kerygma (proclamation), and didache (teaching).
