The project utilizes qualitative methodology as three clergy women survivors of domestic violence are interviewed and complete written questionnaires.  The results indicate that the relationship with God, which the woman experiences during the time of the abuse, is harsh and judgmental. Moving beyond the abuse, her God-image, the relationship with God, and her sense of self is transformed.
