The assimilation program will involve established church families who will adopt new members and attempt to assimilate them into the local church.  This will involve training the participating church families in the area of new member assimilation.  This training will consist of twelve sessions of seminar instruction.  These sessions will instruct the participants concerning the need for new member assimilation and the biblical basis for this need. Additionally, methods for new member assimilation will be explored.  During the seminar the participants will develop their own assimilation plan.  Near the end of the training, participants will be assigned a new church family to adopt. At the end of the first and second weeks with their new family, the participants will report on how the assimilation plan is working. Additionally, after spending two months with the new family the participants will give another report.
