This included the patient, the family, and the hospital employees who rendered care to these individuals.  The research and ministry project occurred at Baptist Memorial Hospital East, Memphis, Tennessee, involving a potential patient population exceeding 110.  Research indicates four definite areas of need: a family support group, recreational activities, staff support, and pastoral care presence.
