The purpose is to develop more precision in understanding the mission of the church and to provide a more systematic approach for accomplishing the mission founded upon the commissioning statements of our Lord, 'Go' and 'Follow me'.  An extensive training program for the development of the elders was established covering the areas of being called, history, teaching, flocking, prayer, creative listening, leadership, and gifts and talents.  The foundation undergirding this study was learning responsibility and accountability.
