This descriptive case study follows the journey of a preacher and congregation as they move to figural preaching over six years. A representative sampling of sermons is studies in order to trace this movement. A representative sampling of the congregation is interviewed in order to portray its response to this change and to discover connections between figural preaching and Christian practices. Noticeable change in the practice of preaching is discerned and described.
