The theological rationale proposed for appropriateness of interreligious dialogue is based on God's continual dialogue with humanity.  The universal biblical motives in the Bible correspond theologically with a dialogical approach because the Bible is the story of God's on-going dialogue in the history of mankind, the story of God's mighty deeds from the beginning of the creation.
