It was found among Baptists from the seventeenth through the mid-nineteenth centuries, and is experiencing renewed interest among Southern Baptists today.  The project model shows how a typical Southern Baptist church may transition to plural elder leadership. It evaluates biblical and historical foundations, and then explores current Southern Baptist leadership practices.
