This project focuses on the ministry of the deacon in the MCCA.  It uses the deacons in the Jamaica district as a sample of what exists in the ministry. This paper identifies Religious Ethical Mediation, developed by Marcia Y. Riggs, as a way of recognizing and accepting the differences in the ministry of the deacon and the presbyter.
