It proposed to examine how men and women within a congregation perceived women's role in an effort to identify, clarify, and change attitudes for mutual ministry.  The vehicle for this research used a dialectical methodology of combined biblical studies and social science methods.  The expectation of the hypothesis was that significant changes in attitudes would take place.
