Letter-oriented, propositional expression has dominated the mainline Protestant approach. Christians involved in the arts will bring new life through those modalities that are more metaphorical and intuitive--particularly story and visual imagery.  The Arts Festival at Foundry United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia, provides an occasion for enriching experiences in these areas.
