To do this, three self-select groups (well-parented, dysfunctionally parented and reparented respondents) were all given a combination 'questionnaire-interview' (based primarily on the thinking of Kohut, Winnicott and Langs) and the MMPI.  Results were sought on seven specific MMPI scales.  Although the research hypotheses were not proved using these seven scales, several unhypothesized findings were worthwhile: there were correlations between the self-select group and overall health through general impressions of the whole of MMPI profiles looking at all the scales together.
