The project employed an ethnographical study whose main component was a survey of family and Church relationships of thirty-two Christian male role models.  The result called for this modification of the thesis statement: 'the family makes an input in the development of wholesome males, and, where this input is negative, the Church sometimes contributes to the transformation and sustenance of such men.'
