The author helps prepare course material, prepares several instructors to teach the course, teaches two semesters of the program and evaluates it afterwards. Through the use of personal interviews, conversations, and questionnaires, he discovers that the participants feel they have grown in their qualifications for ministry.  They acknowledge that the program helps them to pray more sincerely, to deal constructively with conflict and to develop leadership skills for ministry.
