But many parishes experience obstacles to this ministry, including suburban relocation, ethnic homogeneity, and even a perceived opposition between a traditional liturgical identity and participation in face-to-face outreach.  The author of this study established a program in a liturgical, ethnically distinct parish that had little experience in outreach.
