Five congregations (United Methodist, United Church of Christ, Baptist, nondenominational, and Disciples of Christ) from Chicago and Lansing, Michigan, studied current trends in stewardship, salaries and benefits for clergy and lay staff, and outreach ministries.  The project developed new stewardship programs to encourage these congregations to re-establish themselves as servants to their communities.
