This project develops and implements a twelve-session training program with ten participants on lay caring ministry in a church.  The results include an increase in the congregation's acceptance of lay involvement in ministry, especially caring; a broadening in the congregation's concept of caring for others; an increase in the participants' willingness to be accepting of others and in their ability to provide lay caring ministry; and the development by the participants of many specific ministries.
