Through the use of a self-study guide, great diversity is revealed within a single congregation's mode of worship, methodologies in ministry, and procedures in administration.  Difficulties in bridging intracultural and intergenerational gaps show the problems in attempting to establish a corporate identity and to define 'Black experience' for that corporate body.
