The project director conducted meetings with selected church planting staff, the evangelism staff of the Florida Baptist Convention, pastors, directors of missions, association church planting staff, and the African American Ministries division staff. The project had four stages. In the first stage the project director researched church planting that targeted the African American population. In the second stage four training plans were written. The third stage consisted of equipping the African American Ministries division.
