Simpson's message was the Fourfold Gospel, Christ as the Christian's Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King.  The message was taken both to north America and to the world through his denomination, the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  The study looks at the five movements that made up the Third Great Awakening and Simpson's contribution to each one.  These five movements included evangelism, the Holiness Movement, Healing Movement, Premillennial Movement and urban and worldwide evangelism.  Simpson played a unique role in each.  The final part of the thesis looks on Simpson's influence today on the present church and on the Christian and Missionary Alliance. As the result of studies and interviews, it shows his message's continuing influence today and the influence in the future.
