It will be our goal to maintain a prayerful presence in the streets of the Washington park community from the time of this project's activation until the coming of our Lord. The prayer-walkers will pray for people, homes, hospitals, businesses, schools and all manner of social and spiritual conditions and needs as the Holy Spirit leads us through the streets of the community. Our focus area will be limited to a three-mile radius of Franklin Chapel: namely, the Washington park Community. The Sons of Varick (an all-male contingency of the Christian education department) and the Young Adult Missionary Society (an all-female department of the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society) will host six congregational reflective discussions ranging from evangelism to prayer-walk ministry (PWM).
