The study attempted to equip thirteen participants for this challenge by involving them in cognitive, affective, active, and votive dimensions of learning.  The project initiated: 1) dialogue with the poor; 2) involvement in an unfair job situation; 3) interest in a local advocacy group.  The study evaluated these results by interpreting session tape recordings, leaders' observations, and participants' written evaluations.
