Chapter 1 presents the report of the US Surgeon, C Everett Koop, as to the medical myths and facts about AIDS, and the unsuccessful attempts of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross to build a local clinic for children with AIDS.  Chapter 2 gives a biblical, theological, and historical view of the treatment of lepers, a metaphor chosen for modern AIDS patients. Chapter 3 offers a description of an eight-week program designed to reduce the resistance staff members feel toward AIDS patients and the research instruments used to measure the effects of the group.
