The Church is of God and will never disappear, and it is because we believe this that we have conducted this project in the hope of bringing about change among those of us called Christian beginning with an annual conference of the United Methodist Church.  The practicum was conducted over a 12-week period of time.  Two groups, one made up of female clergy and one made up of male clergy, were recruited from an annual conference and asked to meet as consciousness-raising groups using the book Women's Growth in Connection.  The emphasis of the groups was to focus on justice issues between male/female clergy using their own experience and calling forth their hopes for and commitment to change.
