The relationship of mind to body and individual to family, together with the emotions of helplessness and hope are explored. The methodology employed was studying anecdotes and scientific research on the 'mind/body connection' and CPE verbatims compiled in hospital cancer wards, leading a bereavement support group, attending seminars on healing and on church and family systems, reading family system theorists' writings, pastoring a church, and reviewing theological essays on Christian hope. This research suggests that a discernable and direct relationship between physical health and hope exists. The author's hypothesis was that the Christian understanding of 'call' can be related to a psychological 'redemption' of the structure Jung refers to as the 'animus' in women. Fourteen women were interviewed; their profiles and the author's are shared in the paper. Based on their stories, their struggles, and the outcomes, the conclusion is that there is a relationship between the theological experience of receiving a call and the redemption of the animus."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133267821330432,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:16:34.782Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:07:56Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:25:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"9f54826d-a9a1-47b6-9522-cc1b9ae7199a","accessControl_ssim":["968e713e-af74-41cb-941e-1f6db21d328d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Between fire and brimstones and guitars: the study of worship as recital"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:07:55Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:47:19Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["bd29c157-e125-41fa-9bd5-da074b4578dd"],"hasLease_ssim":["845e0b7e-f42e-4726-9e27-1ef5fcd747fc"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"advisor_tesim":["Henry C Brooks"],"year_tesim":["1992"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Sandra M Bauer"],"publisher_tesim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"subject_tesim":["Hymns in the Bible","Music--Religious aspects","Public worship","Liturgics and the arts"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study is concerned with the way in which the presence of God is remembered and celebrated in community worship.
