Many members of the church are not proficient in leading a person to Jesus. This research seeks to address this issue by providing a training program. A profile of the Greenwich church has been established and a task force team has been established comprising people trained in personal evangelism. Questionnaires and seminars were the primary means of establishing the team. 19 people have been identified. It analyzes the church situation in PNG, including biblical and theological dimensions and cultural factors, and synthesizes the implications of these concepts for ministry in PNG in relation to pastoral roles in lay leadership development. A training program in public evangelism was designed and implemented for a selected group of lay members of the Central Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church of Milwaukee.  They received theoretical and practical instruction during a seven-week evangelistic campaign.
