This evaluation should come from knowledge of South African culture, the view of marriage presented by Scripture, and the experiences of women within polygamous marriages.  The author's interviews with women reveal a great deal of pain and anger over being in such marriages. Faith development is viewed as sequential stages of development of Christians until they conform to the image of Christ.  A healthy interaction among family members would mediate the grace of God to their faith development. It suggests a structured network of covenant family group ministry in a church to build up and enrich Christian families for faith development.
