Randomization was used to form the experimental and the control groups from volunteer pastors. There was no significant difference found between the means of the groups in their answers to the Interpersonal Behavior Survey. The only exceptions were the Infrequency, the Initiating Assertiveness and the Requesting Help scales. All the goals of the AT were accomplished. This thesis analyzes 201 questionnaires submitted by parishioners of ten 'Main Line' congregations in southern New Hampshire/Northeastern Massachusetts.  The findings were that all but two respondents believed in healing through prayer though they differed about its frequency, and that a sizable minority reported experiencing healing.  Such belief in and experience of such healing was generally consistent across various demographic categories. Mark"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to test a Bible study of the Gospel of mark as a tool in helping to resolve conflict among the leadership of a small to middle sized congregation.  The clergy and lay leadership of a small congregation participated in the project, which began with a consultation which sought to name and understand the issues of conflict within the congregation. This was followed by a six week Bible study. It drew on bodies of literature from Twelve Step traditions, addiction and shame, Object Relations Theory, and Roman Catholic pastoral tradition.  Results showed that the model/program was very helpful to participants. The program utilized Korean family values by reconstructing the ideology of filial piety.  It was implemented by the researcher,a Korean-American pastor, in a European-American congregation.  Volunteers learned about the needs of the frail elderly, namely, mental depression, physical disability, isolation and loneliness.
