The diminishing zeal and the passion of the Salesian missionaries prompt me to ask the question 'can the Salesians be more spiritual and sensitive to the Nyishis and their tribal culture so as to incarnate Don Bosco's spirituality and charism in the communities they minister?' Baisas, OFM, as a staring point. He delved deeply into the type of spirituality that they have embraced in living their respective religious vocations in the Philippines. These were then respectfully and critically put into dialogue with the Philippine realities and the Christian tradition on religious life, mysticism, prophecy and contextualization using the insights of Sandra Schneiders, IHM, Aloysisu Pieris, SJ, Stephen Bevans, SVD, and the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines, respectively. The said dialogue used a personally-designed model and method in theological reflection in ministry patterned after those of James Whitehead and Evelyn Eaton Whitehead, as well as that of Bernard Lonergan, SJ. The result is the formation of a description of a contextual mystico-prophetic spirituality as a relevant form of spirituality for religious in the Philippines and an elaboration of some of its characteristic features. Many people have been seeking the Christian faith after obtaining religious freedom.  In today's China, thousands of people receive baptism without proper instruction about Church teaching and practice.  As a result, only a small number remain faithful to their baptismal commitment.  In considering today's new situation, I conducted interviews with catechists who have had experience working on this program in the diocese.  I think the Catholic Church in China faces two critical issues: 1) inadequate preparation for those who wish to be baptized, and 2) inadequate ongoing faith formation and communal support for those who have been baptized... The author concludes, as a result, that in genuine reconciliation there are basic spiritual and social elements that must be considered. The empowerment this brings may offset the feelings of helplessness, anger and disappointment among those adversely affected when their church building is closed. Relevant research in consolidations is brought into dialogue with Church documents related to liturgy and the place where it takes happens, as well as to scholarship on theories of space land place. The aim of the first missionaries of making the Great Lakes Region of Africa the heartland of Christianity has been somehow fulfilled. The God of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate reference of the people as they express it in various situations: whether in time of joy, especially the time of suffering, or even in the everywhere on the buses etc. In addition there is a great participation in the sacraments that is stunning and observable on a daily basis reaching its apex on the Sunday celebrations. Unfortunately the socio-poolitical structure has completely collapsed to the point that most observers question themselves as to why the complete lack of witness in the public arena. The question is very challenging because most of the political leaders are practicing Catholics. Evidently there is a great need of rediscovering the inspirational values of Catholic Social Teaching and make it the focus of the new evangelization in the twenty-first century. The situation of unending suffering of the people of Bukavu and the whole DRC calls for a quick action to educate the consciences of all the catholic political leaders and the laity to promote the common good and foster good government that will ensure the greater good of the whole nation. It requires a new project of society for which catholic Social Teaching is a great resource in a city/country where the majority of leaders are Catholics. The urgent task is to foster a new pastoral action that gears at educating and empowering the laity to rediscover their noble mission that is to become the 'light of the world' and the 'salt of the earth' in the temporal sphere.
