Unitl recently, most Romanian Catholics were unaware of the post-conciliar renewal taking place in other parts of the world.  The project includes two parts.  The theoretical framework includes an examination of inculturation, an overview of contemporary catechesis, a contemporary understanding of the Romanian Church, and the socialization model. As such, it formed a segment within a clinical pastoral education program in a hospital setting.  A supervisory method of education was developed based upon adult learning theory. Some of the writings of Teresa of Avila illustrate this.  Elderhood, seen as the culminating point of the life journey, is set against the myths and stereotypes which demean this stage of life. Implications are drawn and proposals made concerning developing and enhancing the Cursillo method in the three-day Cursillo retreat, follow-up programming, and spiritual direction.  The paper describes two workshops in which this information is shared with Cursillo leaders. Reading the 'signs of the times,' recent theological works, and Roman Catholic church documents, a shift in responsibility for ministry from the sole domain of the ordained to all the baptized is indicated.  Inspired by liberation theology, this candidate builds a theological perspective and describes the design of a formation for ministry program.
