Reading the 'signs of the times,' recent theological works, and Roman Catholic church documents, a shift in responsibility for ministry from the sole domain of the ordained to all the baptized is indicated.  Inspired by liberation theology, this candidate builds a theological perspective and describes the design of a formation for ministry program. Part one analyzes the influence of the rite's theological anthropology and asceticism in ministering to the sick. Part two describes the five-session, in-service learning workshop.
