The hypothesis is that certain God representations are used to form beliefs that put persons at risk as either victims or perpetrators of family violence.  The paper uses two case studies to focus on three aspects of domestic violence: the physical, the psychological, and the sexual.  Rizzuto's God and Family Questionnaires are a diagnostic tool in this study. Assuming that some uses are better than others, the project seeks indices for evaluating materials, personnel and programs related to the lectionary. A form of factor analysis is judged the most appropriate method for discovering the indices.  An interpretive perspective is illuminated by a contrast between two distinct theological currents within contemporary Catholicism.  The lectionary is situated within one current, as are its appropriate religious education uses.  Data gathered in sixty-one interviews are reported and interpreted. A selective review of relevant literature dealing with medical, psychological, and theological facets of the disorder was conducted, and a case study was discussed.  Person-centered therapy supplemented by techniques which were congruent and appropriate from other modalities was indicated in treatment. The author analyzes this therapeutic situation by utilizing the resources of material on child abuse, the resulting pain of being abused as a child, theology, psychotherapy, and the story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well in the Gospel of John 4:7-21.  The author determines that a pastoral counselor must address and be in the process of working through his or her past abusive experiences before counseling with counselees who have also been abused as children.  The author creatively uses the images of a counseling well, water, houses, and abandoned fireplaces to bring the pain and the journey of recovery alive in this pastoral counseling setting. It is the thesis of the project to show how the works of these two persons, when correlated, create an effective model for the pastoral counselor.  The paper outlines the theory of Winnicott who was a member of the British school of object relations. The research involved a Likert-type questionnaire, open-ended comments and personal interviews (39) completed by a combined total of 204 persons, 60 pastors and 144 lay persons.  The study demonstrates that the pastoral relations committees are an effective means of support and feedback for ministry and serve, secondarily, but helpfully, in the area of personnel matters.  The pastoral relations committees theological framework relies heavily upon 'unconditional acceptance'.  The author recommends further theological development focused on the stewardship of gifts. Statistical studies revealed that the suicide rate, for the past five years, has been 2.8 times the state average.  A program module was designed to raise the level of awareness, of the danger signs of suicide, in those serving in positions of leadership in the Indiana National Guard.  The research includes a study of the context of ministry, psycho-social and biblical-theological aspects of suicide.  The module proved successful in increasing the level of awareness as determined by pre-/post-test
