The purpose of this project is to explore the core needs of 'Generation X' and practical ways the Christian Church might address those needs. The research on this project is conducted through interviews with 'Generation X' members of Second Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, TN, and 'Gen X' individuals who are not members of any particular church. Pastors of churches that are prospering in ministry to 'Generation X' were also interviewed. In this qualitative study of one particular congregation, the vital relationship between the praxis of evangelism and how we understand Christian identity will be examined.  A brief survey in the Gospel narratives will be offered to observe the role of Jesus' identity in his ministry and evangelistic witness.  A theological review of the modern reductionism of the gospel and the praxis of evangelism in North America will lead toward a renewed biblical framework for each, rooted in the reign of God. I surveyed and had focus groups with these churches. I wanted to understand why these churches are successfully reaching unchurched Brazilians, Americans, and Hispanics for Christ. Their evangelistic approach has caused, in my opinion, a reversal in the lack of congregational growth within the American context. It intends to identify the problem by means of quantitative and qualitative research.  When implications of the sociological as well as the religious perspectives were used to establish an interpersonal relationship and discover male perspective of the church, the following issues were raised: (a) Denominational conflicts (b)Irrelevant programmes (c) Uncaring members (d) Church attendance not necessary.
