There is little critical evaluation of the Cursillo movement, and the available literature on the movement raises questions about the legitimacy and propriety of some methods employed during the Cursillo weekend. The design of this project is to discover the long-term effects of the Reformed Cursillo in Northwest Iowa. This qualitative study was designed to observe the impact such a class would have on a small group.  The format was group discussion based on class handouts of questions with both written and practical assignments.  All participants were interviewed twice, and four were selected for a final interview.  Impact varied highly, but was generally limited by both the course length and the lack of one-on-one time. Revival is defines as the reanimating of much of the church by the extraordinary work of God,  The view of revival is distinguished from two other views of revival. Qualitative research with focus groups from three large evangelical churches confirmed this.
