In order to evaluate the preaching manual, a program development and evaluation model of research was used. Surveys administered before and after reading the preaching manual found, with confidence, affirmation of two of the five hypotheses, which were reflected by the principles in the preaching manual. The hypotheses areas included: 1. Exposition, 2. Variety, 3. Clarity, 4. Frequency, and 5. Practicality. The literature review summarized writings in the fields of ministry to children, children's ministry in the local church, Christian leadership, and Christian leadership development. The author designed, implemented and evaluated a thirty-week curriculum. Evaluation instruments included a pretest/post-test format, a ministry confidence survey, focus group questions, and a course topic evaluation.
