The research includes an overview of the church's history, a review of the literature relevant to church evaluation, and an examination of the church's spatial, financial, temporal, and human resources. The aim of the project is to ensure that Memorial aligns its ministries with its core values and mission, and at the same time optimizes the resources so as to best enable growth. The project used a strategic planning committee consisting of a cross sample of the congregation of Grace Bible Church and the formation of a strategic plan to discover the impact. The strategic plan outlined in Aubrey Malphur's book Advanced strategic planning was the tool used to develop and conduct the strategic plan. A questionnaire was used to evaluate the perception of the participants concerning the impact of the strategic planning process on themselves. The evaluation of the impact was determined by the change in responses on the questionnaire. The project began with a review of the current literature concerned with developing a strategic plan for a church and the impact this plan can have on the participants and the church as a whole. The project continued by conducting a strategic plan for the church and collecting the data using the questionnaire. The project concluded that the strategic planning process had a positive impact on those who participated in the planning. Students reported a high level of satisfaction with the project, while revealing difficulty in time management, finances, communication, personal habits, devotional life and child rearing. This project begins with a survey of biblical and professional literature regarding the subject of vocational ministry mentoring.  Special emphasis has been placed upon literature that addresses the cultural issues that one may face while ministering in the North American Chinese church context.  The centerpiece of this project revolves around two case studies of Chinese churches that are presently sponsoring and hosting vocational ministry internships. Once case study was conducted at the West Houston (Houston, Tex) Chinese Church and the second involving two churches with a cooperative internship program--the Chinese Bible Church of Maryland (Rockville, Md), and the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Washington, DC (Silver Spring, Md). Case studies were done using one-on-one interviews. Eight women were selected on the basis of their potential to contribute to the study. Assessment was done on the basis of their relationships with their father, the struggles they had in coming to know God as Father, and what proved helpful to them. The literature review includes research in the fields of family life, spiritual formation, the role of the father in child development, the process of healing childhood pain, and Christian education. There are biblical principles given from the scriptures and how they inform us about a relationship with God as our Father. The ultimate goal was to describe the experience of living fatherless. The researcher then directed these responses to a focus group of Christian experts who analyzed these responses to determine some of the barriers involved in communicating the gospel through a web site.  The focus group offered recommendations for web site design and implementation so that internet based evangelism efforts might be more effective.
