God commands believers to engage his word, and through obedience to this command, members have the opportunity for spiritual change. Scripture records both reading and/or listening as two mediums for engagement. In this project, the administrator directed members to engage Scripture through an aural medium. Listening and reflection templates along with five assessments provided measurable evaluations. Understanding blind spots, amygdala hijacks, feedback, and self-awareness is key to growth in personal and professional relationships. A three-month training module, including the MSCEIT and personal x-rays, resulted in EI growth among GEM's leadership team. Questions addressed include how to be more self-aware; how to give/receive feedback; understanding big assumptions or hidden competing commitments that prevent EI growth; and how to most effectively lead others by modeling high relational skills. The congregation was surveyed using the REVEAL Spiritual Life Survey. The researcher then led a strategic planning process to clarify the purpose, vision, values, and direction of the church. Changes were implemented based on survey data and group input before the same survey was administered again. The Christian spiritual participation profile was used to measure the balance of and depth of participation in: their experience with God, their critical reflection of culture and self, their interaction with God's Word, and their relationship with others. Crucial to the explanation of positive changes in the women was the spiritual dimension involving the fulfillment of the principles in Ephesians 4:1-16, leading to ministry within the body of Christ that eventuated in the mutual ministry of the participants to one another.
