This study hypothesized that a biblically oriented marriage enrichment course concerning relationship self-regulation (RSR) would increase both personal responsibility for marriage and marital satisfaction in marriage and that RSR, as a measure of personal responsibility, would positively correlate with marital satisfaction (MS). Forty-three couples were assessed on their relationship self-regulation and marital satisfaction, pre and post course. Using purposeful sampling in a qualitative research design, the researcher-pastoral counselor describes the treatment of two critical cases in his clinical practice involving two school age boys diagnosed with ADHD. The findings show that the pastoral counselor recognized, understood, and treated the ADHD symptomatic behaviors within the interactional, psychological, and theological experience of the families' systems.
