The project consisted of thirteen messages that examined biblical finances as found in the New Testament and Proverbs.  This material was categorized according to what (concepts to be understood), how (instructions for management), and why (motivation for obedience).  The project includes a topical listing of all financial passages in the New Testament and Proverbs and an annotated bibliography.  The testing instrument developed for the project was a semantic differential that evaluated knowledge and attitude toward biblical finances. Included in the training program are a two and one-half day seminar for church planters and their spouses, and a twelve-unit curriculum taught by the church planters to their respective core groups.  The researcher used a Likert Scale, and objective test, key informant field interviews, and field observations to evaluate the training program. The central thesis of this study is that there is an organic connection between text and sermon at the level of form.  Throughout the study it is assumed that form and content are inseparable but distinguishable. The hypothesis was that there would be no difference between postsermon test results following traditional sermons and test results following sermons divided into four parts.  The author presented six sermons in each format.  Following the worship services randomly selected persons completed a 20-question multiple-choice test to determine content retention.  T-tests of grand mean scores for tests following each format revealed no significant difference in levels of comprehension.
