The six-session program (including a twelve-chapter story, reflection questions, and group discussion) was based on biblical theology of mission and work as well as core concepts in the Business as Mission movement. Fifteen marketplace leaders participated in the three-month program. participants. Participants were pretested and posttested using both quantitative and qualitative measurements. This research project used both quantitaive and qualitative methods to determine the effect of premarital counseling combined with a couple-to-couple mentoring emphasizing self-disclosure and communication. The participants were couples who were members of the Churches of Christ and who claimed they were virgins before their marriage date. Research indicates this would reduce the likelihood of recifivism. The University of Rhode Island Change Assessment Scale was used to measure inmate attitudes toward change. However, in the case of those living with the HIV/AIDS virus, the AA church has failed to live up to its creed and conviction. A 12-week Bible study curriculum utilizing cognitive dissonance was implemented to determine its effect on AA Christians toward those living with HIV/AIDS. The difference between the pretest and posttest in the desire of the Christian adolescents to abstain from premarital sex was statistically significant. The thesis develops the biblical/theological basis for healthy sexuality with a theoretical basis. The research design covers a three month time period. Couples were tested before the course and then again after three month. It was hypothesized that the incorporation of biblical teaching and cultural aspects of forgiveness would provide a forgiveness paradigm that could increase the motivation to forgive among the target community. However, the increase of scores in the willingness to forgive after the workshop was not statistically significant. The preaching presented worldview issues raised by a postmodern perspective and provided insights based on a biblical and theological perspective that emphasized that there is absolute truth. This study hypothesized that a biblically oriented marriage enrichment course concerning relationship self-regulation (RSR) would increase both personal responsibility for marriage and marital satisfaction in marriage and that RSR, as a measure of personal responsibility, would positively correlate with marital satisfaction (MS). Forty-three couples were assessed on their relationship self-regulation and marital satisfaction, pre and post course.
