The application section put the previous material to work in assessing the basic claims of five groups: the Pentecostal-Charismatic movement, the New Age movement, Roman Catholicism, Islam, and humanism. Subjects were pre-tested and post-tested for frequency of practice of four spiritual disciplines (solitude, meditation, study and service) and spiritual well-being (SWB) using Ellison's SWB scale. Subjects were instructed in a thirteen-week course on those disciplines.  Differences on pre- and post-test scores were observed to evaluate the effect of changes in frequency of practice and SWB responses. The project includes a topical listing of all financial passages in the New Testament and Proverbs and an annotated bibliography.  The testing instrument developed for the project was a semantic differential that evaluated knowledge and attitude toward biblical finances. The central thesis of this study is that there is an organic connection between text and sermon at the level of form.  Throughout the study it is assumed that form and content are inseparable but distinguishable.
