The author introduced ways to stimulate communication within the congregation using the appreciative inquiry method in structuring surveys and questioners that guided the conversations of the congregation during workshops and trainings. The purpose of this project was to discover the importance of space in a church's ministry of hospitality. Twenty-four persons from the congregation attended a six-week course during which they completed four assessments that were designed to measure their knowledge and skills in offering hospitality and evaluating the quality of the church's place for extending hospitality.
