Having studied the congregation's history and ethos in concert with a sister church, the aim of the project was to develop a leadership covenant with the two congregations.  Working with the joint pastor-parish relations committee, a variety of instruments were used to discern an appropriate leadership style in that situation. The second chapter focuses on Biblical and theological perspectives.  The issues of patriarchy, child care options for newborns, and the church's involvement are discussed.  The thesis: clergy have more flexible daytime schedules, making it possible for caring for their infants during the day.  The project details clergy experience and summarizes non-random purposive sampling of other clergy to determine their infant care solutions.
