Therefore, Weinhold created a 'Healthy Boundaries' curriculum including a participant's manual for churches. Utilizing an evaluative research design, a one day workshop was offered to 12 lay persons and pastors. The workshop progressed from personal to pastoral to legal boundaries. Data analysis employed the spiral steps of qualitative research authored by Leedy and Ormord (2005). My research focused upon three areas of exploration: is God always present; can effective pastoral leadership skills be identified; and is balanced leadership in the church driven by sound theology? My purpose was to learn more about pastoral leadership as it relates to the life and mission of the church during times of disagreement and conflict. From Scripture, I focused on Moses as a model leader who faithfully led the people of God along a difficult journey of change, conflict and reconciliation. Building on a foundation of readings about pastoral leadership and church conflict, along with business management resources, my strategy was to prepare a series of questions to help guide my interviews with other pastors. Using narrative methods, the researcher studied five Presbyterian congregations that are flourishing in the aftermath of decreased membership. One solution has been to prescribe the spiritual practice of Sabbath-keeping. Unfortunately, this raises multiple issues for the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) pastor. Therefore, the central question that guided this project was: How do SDA pastors practice and experience the Sabbath? The goal was to gain a thick, in-depth description of Sabbath-keeping. In order to accomplish this the project's strategy was rooted in a phenomenological form of research, namely the qualitative interview. The author researched scripture, theological sources, and psychological sources related to church alienation and worldview violation. He interviewed sixteen people identified as alienated from church using criteria of PTSD to evaluate if the participants display evidence of traumatic stress response. Each participant showed evidence of traumatic stress response present from worldview violation connected with religious beliefs. However, Christian leaders over the centuries have often instilled within its followers a negative viewpoint of sex. After tracing the evolution of Christian ideas regarding the subject, this paper examines research literature regarding the correlations between Christianity and sexuality. This report also examines embodiment theology as a potential antidote to Christian negations of sexuality as well as the research regarding how a Christian affirmation of sexuality correlates with sexual satisfaction. The author led a congregation through several theological discussions that challenged them to think in a variety of ways about how one might respond to evil and suffering.  The Biblical and Theological reflections included, The Fall in Genesis Three, Evil as Privation of Good--Augustine, The Providence of God--John Calvin, Moral Evolution--Irenaeus as seen by John Hick, Protest Theology--John Roth and Process or Relational Theory--Charles Hartshorne. While testing a survey to assess the propensity, the author discovered that pastor-size churches were answering like program-size churches.  The quantitative project gave way to qualitative analysis. A Delphi panel developed elements to be included in a tool to screen 10-18 year olds' spiritual needs and resources.  A group of children and adolescents served as a case study of the tool's use.
