The result informs four tasks of pastoral care: 1) training of volunteer leadership, 2) planning job careers with teens, 3) offering spiritual direction, and 4) assisting worship leaders in their planning.  Pastoral care is trinitarian.  Gifts given in creation (personality types) provide the means to the common unity to which the Church is called (sanctification). Such harmony is made possible through atonement (redemption). Decisions are made by consensus.  Plurality is acknowledged. Variety is cherished. The project provides a model for congregations which tests the thesis.  The study addresses: 1) the current divergence of wealth, with a special focus on the enculturation of American churches; 2) work and social stresses concomitant with wealth; and 3) the biblical message concerning wealth. It creates for clergy and laity an awareness of resettlement issues and provides a launching point where congregations can begin to respond to the needs of refugees.
