Human faith can be understood in FST terms. Christian scripture is comprised of human faith statements . Thus, FST would seem to be helpful in understanding and applying Christian scripture. This project reviews Fowler's FST and examines I John 4:1-6 for evidence of Fowler's seven aspects of FST. It infers that the text demonstrates faith stage four aspects and, thus, confirms the thesis that FST can be a hermeneutical tool.
